Language Model Providers

We use third-party language model APIs to generate research reports, market analysis, and stock explanations. When you request a report or analysis, the relevant stock ticker(s) and query context are sent to our providers' servers for processing. Their respective usage policies and privacy practices apply to data processed through their services.

Exa

We use Exa for intelligent news search. Stock tickers and related search queries may be sent to Exa's servers to retrieve relevant news articles and information.

Yahoo Finance

We retrieve real-time and historical stock prices, company financials, and market data from Yahoo Finance. Stock tickers you search or add to your watchlist are sent to Yahoo Finance to fetch the corresponding data.

CNN

We retrieve Fear & Greed Index data from CNN to display market sentiment information. No personal user data is shared with CNN.

Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in with Google, we use Google's OAuth 2.0 authentication service. We receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier from Google. We do not access your Google contacts, calendar, or any other Google services beyond authentication.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

When you are signed in, your watchlists and portfolio data are synced across your devices through our servers. If you use the app without signing in, your data is stored locally on your device.

Your account data, including watchlists and portfolio information, is retained for as long as your account remains active. Cached research reports may be retained for up to 30 days to improve performance and reduce redundant processing.

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@initiatecoverage.com. Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will remove your personal data from our servers within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Initiate Coverage is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
